A New Concept in Care Homes
Latest News & Events
28-02-2014 We have been taking advantage of both Martins grove Park and the beautiful sunny weather this week. We have been on lovely long walks in the park looking at all of the spring time flowers starting to grow and spotting the different types of birds. It's sometimes the little things that have the most fulfilling effects and they all came back gleaming. the sun does more good than we sometimes think -ROLL ON THE SUMMER! This weekend we are welcoming the new activities co-ordinator and she can not wait to share all her fabulous ideas with the residents.
21-02-2014 The residents have been going on more outings than ever just of late but the one they seemed to enjoy the most this week was a good old pub lunch! You cant beat the atmosphere that comes from the local pub and what a day they chose to go, it has been a beautifully sunny day and the it has done us all the world of good!
14-02-2014 As you all know we have a mini bus here at the residents disposal, but this week the residents seem to have had an energy buzz or perhaps just an eye for adventure, even in this terrible weather. On Monday we went to the Bexleyheath Broadway for a spot of shopping, later on in the week we went to Ruxley manor to see their new Spring collection (not forgetting the tea and cake) and today we went to Maidstone's Museum & Art Gallery. This week we have, of course, had our fortnightly evening event where the residents enjoyed Dave the Ventriloquist and his magic show. There really hasn't been a dull moment this week and its been just the ticket in this terrible wet weather.
07-02-2014 We've been trying something a little different with our evening events of late and this week we had a Burns night and it was an absolutely brilliant night! We had the bagpipes played up the corridor followed by the Haggis to start the cutting of the Haggis ceremony. It was a night for the memory bank and there is certainly nothing better for all the staff here than to be a part of something that is making every one of our residents smile and enjoy each day.
31-01-2014 FORGET THE DIET, FORGET THAT JAM SPONGE YOU ATE AT LUNCH TIME because the residents have been getting in tune with their baking skills this week as they sat down and made the most delicious Rock cakes for all the residents and staff. Our activities coordinator learnt a thing or two in his first ever cooking lesson, and seemed to come out right on top. There was not a cake left in sight by the end of the day. How Scrummy!!
