A New Concept in Care Homes
Latest News & Events
27-02-2015 This week at Groveland we sadly have to say goodbye and good luck to our Activities Co-Ordinator Lee. He has been with us since day one and the residents adore him but Lee has made every effort to make his last week a special one. Earlier in the week Lee took the residents out for a tasty Toby Carvery lunch in Bexleyheath. We also had our favourite 'Nightingale Dogs' come to visit and play games with the residents. Today the residents can send him off in style with a goodbye afternoon party where we can all enjoy cheese platters, wine, tea and cake. We wish you all the luck in your new adventure.
18-02-2015 This week at Groveland our residents have enjoyed a carvery pub lunch at the Lord Kitchener in Welling. They had a nice time sharing their stories with eachother and reminiscing over the good times. Back at the home, Lee has been keeping the residents busy with some classics card and board games. We definitely have a competitive bunch! Next week we have one of our fortnightly evening events - The Everly Brothers. This one is not to be missed, Wednesday 25th February 6.30pm onwards.
06-02-2015 This week we have had a variety of one-to-one's and person centred activities to ensure that our team has a close knit and strong relationship with our residents. We have had a few trips to Bexleyheath Town Centre to enjoy coffee and cake and have also had various bonding activities in the Bar/Bistro as requested by our residents. Tonight we have one of our fortnightly evening events starting at 6.30pm. We have the pleasure of welcoming 'F*abba*licious' into our home for an entertaining evening. We look forward to seeing you there!
30-01-2015 It's already the end of the first month of 2015 and we've already had some memorable events and outings. We had fantastic evening entertainment courtesy of Dreamboats and Petticoats and not to forget the king of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Tribute. Our residents have also started the new year by visiting Millbrook Garden Centre, The Bexley Christian Life Centre where they enjoyed live music, tea and cake and they also settled down for a nice country lunch at The Fighting Cocks Pub & Restaurant. Also this week we temporarily say good-bye and Good Luck to our Administrator Sasha who starts her maternity leave and adventure into Motherhood, we look forward to meeting you're little lady. GOOD LUCK and we will see you in the Summer!
23-01-2015 This week we had one of our brilliant fortnightly evening events and it was so good before that we had him back again. Of course, we are talking about the Elvis Presley Tribute. He got our residents (and staff!) in the dancing mood and didn't disappoint whilst performing all of the Rock 'n' Roll classics. To top off the night there was a delicious BBQ buffet served throughout.
