29-08-2014 This week a handful of our residents ventured down to Maidstone in the mini-bus to board the Kentish Lady River Boat. Whilst learning about the river and surrounding history, they enjoyed taking in the views and getting a bit of fresh air. They stopped off at a local restaurant for some fresh out the water fish and chips. Everybody come back to Groveland Park smiling over what a wonderful day they all had.
22-08-2014 If you dislike insects, rodents and reptiles look away now! This week we had a brave bunch of our residents handling the above which collaborated create 'Zoolab uk'. They provided us with an exciting and memorable handling experience. One thing to mention is the residents won the battle of bravery over the staff! Also this week we visited Lindy Lou's which is a vintage coffee shop based in Crayford for some real coffee, pretty china and traditional cake with quaint surroundings. It was delicious to say the least and everybody enjoyed themselves. We will be back.

The different variety of plants are always admired, along with the coffee stop in the Café.
08-08-2014 This week marked the 100 year anniversary of World War 1 so we threw the residents a party to celebrate their lives and the lives of so many taken fighting for our country. The chef did the most delicious BBQ that filled the home with that summery smell (it really could have fed an army of troops). The activities co-ordinator went all out and decorated the room beautifully, we had a war time singer that got everybody up on their feet until they just couldn't dance anymore and to hit the nail on the head our girls dressed up as old nurses that really got the memories flooding back. It was an absolutely smashing day and as long as the residents are smiling its enough for us!
